This is the first in a series of posts I will be making. A lot of my childhood was pretty unhappy but I do have some things to remind me of the better times. These posts are dedicated to reminding myself that although a lot of bad things have happened, there were also times when things were good.
In this post, I’m going to show some of the old photos and keepsakes my mother has kept from when I was a baby.
First we have one of my ultrasound scans. I think this was done at around 8 months of gestation.
If you look, you can see my face in profile as well as what looks like it could be a foot in front of my face (I guess I was curled up or something).
Next is some things from before my mum took me home from the hospital. I think the white plastic thing is the clip from my umbilical cord.
The next is a photo of me from when I was a few hours old. As you can see, I still have goo on my head.
The next photo is me at about 9 or 10 months old (I’m not entirely sure about my age in this picture but it was definitely before my first birthday).
This next picture is another special one, because it shows my birthday cards from my first birthday. I think it’s incredibly sweet that mum kept these.
I learnt to walk fairly early, as you can see from this next picture. I think I was about 10 or 11 months old here but once again I’m not entirely sure.
You can also see that my love of animals started early. Here’s me and my mother looking at a chicken. Unfortunately you can’t see it too well behind the fence but chickens are pretty cute.
Bonus picture:
This little cutie has been with me for my entire life. That’s right, it was my first ever toy.
I’ll be back again soon with another post, this time with some stuff from when I was a toddler.
